The Woodlands Marathon race results

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Several races took place throughout the Township last weekend, including The Woodlands Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, 10K, and 2k Fun Run. These races traversed the streets of Town Center and the community on a pretty flat course, finishing on the scenic The Woodlands Waterway.

The Legacy Capital Woodlands Marathon is a Boston Qualifier, the fastest course in Texas on average and one the top 25th fastest courses in the country. It qualifies more than 10 percent of its registered runners in the marathon for the Boston Marathon. Nearly 9,000 runners came to the event.

The top three winners in the men’s category had Dillon Breen crossing the finish line first at a time of 2:25:36, followed by Johnny Davis at a time of 2:29:15, and third place going to Carsen Moon with a time of 2:36:46.

In the women’s category, first place went to Madeleine Rouse with a time of 2:56:41, followed by Miryam Morales Basulto with a time of 3:01:27, and herself followed a few second later by Samantha McClellan with a time of 03:01:40.

In the Half Marathon, for the men Connor Weaver, Walter Enrique Suarez Williams, and Matthew Hernandez came in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively, while Gabriela Deleon, Courtney Cobb, and Caitlin Billman took the top three places for the women.

Oscar Garcia, Francisco Perdomo, and Luis Mejia led the pack in the 10K for the men while Shannon Gaden, Meredith Sorensen Parmley, and Bree Schrader took it for the women.
