With luck, the weather will play a lot nicer with The Woodlands than last week, because we’re filled with amazing outdoor – and indoor – events for you to enjoy. Here’s just a sampling!

Wednesday, May 8
The Woodlands Family YMCA invites senior adults to stop by and experience the YMCA at the annual Open House and Senior Services Vendor Fair, featuring wellness classes, social gatherings, volunteering, and learning opportunities. The Woodlands Family YMCA Open House for Seniors and their guests, will be held 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Shadowbend YMCA Gymnasium. Free t-shirts sponsored by Oak Haven Apartment Homes will be given to the first 200 guests. Planned activities include a vendor fair, games, refreshments, information on Y senior programs & senior services in the community, tours, demos, photo booth, door prize, and much more. At 12:15 p.m., a complimentary lunch will be served, In addition, there will be a bingo social from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m! Event is free but registration is required.

The Texas Country Music Association is set to create another milestone with the 2024 Texas Country Music Summit and Industry Awards, taking place at Sawyer Park Icehouse. Experience a day filled with enriching activities, including a daytime conference featuring panel speakers and Q&A sessions, live music, and the prestigious Texas Country Music Industry Awards in the evening. These awards celebrate the dedicated individuals who tirelessly contribute to the Texas music industry, collaborating with artists and others to bring this vibrant community together. Ticket prices grant access to the day conference, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., complete with a provided lunch. The Industry Awards, open to the public, kick off at 6 p.m. and culminate with performances by the Monty Dawson Band and Donice Morace Band. Acoustic sets will also captivate audiences throughout the day and into the evening.

As one of the premier multi-sport events in the region, The Woodlands Triathlon offers high-caliber competition, first-rate race management, and scenic courses to participants ranging from beginners to nationally-ranked athletes. Produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, The Woodlands Triathlon includes a 500-meter Open Swim, a 12.8-mile Bike Ride, and a 5K Run, starting and ending at Northshore Park.
