The Junior League of Houston, Inc. announces 2024 - 2025 Executive Committee

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Junior League of Houston, Inc. has selected its incoming Executive Committee for the 2024 - 2025 League year. The new Executive Committee members started their term on June 1, 2024, and their term will end on May 31, 2025. During the 2024 - 2025 Executive Committee’s tenure, the devoted group of women will oversee the start of the 2025 Centennial celebration of the nonprofit, which will include a major renovation to its legendary building.

The Junior League of Houston is pleased to announce the following women as members of its 2024-2025 Executive Committee:

  • President: Mary Lee Wilkens
  • President-Elect: Katherine “Katie” Doyle
  • Community Vice President: Kelly Hickman
  • Development Vice President: Judy Peterson
  • Financial Vice President: Kaitlyn Evins Zapalac
  • Membership Vice President: Michelle Esparza
  • Recording Secretary: Jennifer Williams

The 2024 - 2025 Executive Committee is committed to “Building A Better Community” through community service and dedication to advancing the mission of the Junior League of Houston. This year, the League will contribute approximately $2 million in volunteer time and direct financial support to the Houston community. The League provides trained volunteers and funding to 31 community projects.

“It has been such an honor to serve as the 100th President of the Junior League of Houston for the past year,” said Amanda Hanks Bayles. “I am incredibly grateful to all of the League’s members who continue to further our mission of developing the potential of women while making an enormous impact in the Houston community. I can’t wait to see what all the incoming League leadership accomplishes, including their efforts to kick off the League’s Centennial Anniversary celebration.”

Incoming President, Mary Lee Wilkens, said, “I am excited and ready to step into the position of the Junior League of Houston’s 101st President this year as we honor the amazing legacy of the Junior League and its members and look to the incredible future ahead of us.”
