Junior League of The Woodlands Celebrates Community Champions During 'Find the Good Day' Event

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Junior League of The Woodlands (JLTW) welcomed community leaders, nonprofit partners, educators, volunteers, and local advocates to its annual Find the Good Day event, a celebration designed to highlight the people, programs, and partnerships that positively impact the community every day.

The gathering showcased JLTW's programs and partnerships while highlighting the collective efforts of those working to improve the lives of children, families, and residents across Montgomery County and surrounding communities. Attendees participated in a hands-on service project, learned about JLTW's community initiatives, and joined Township Chairman Brad Bailey in recognizing the power of volunteerism and civic engagement through a special proclamation.

"Find the Good Day is about recognizing the people who show up every day to serve others and strengthen our community," said Shannon Regan, President of Junior League of The Woodlands. "Whether they are educators, nonprofit leaders, volunteers, healthcare advocates, or community partners, their work creates meaningful change. We are proud to celebrate them while sharing how collaboration helps expand our impact."

During the event, JLTW highlighted significant growth and measurable results achieved through its community initiatives over the past year. Among the featured programs was H.A.P.P.Y. (Healthy Appetites Promote Positive Youth), JLTW's largest food-security initiative. The program has expanded from serving 20 schools during the 2023-24 school year to 57 schools in 2025-26, eliminating its waitlist and providing weekend food assistance to approximately 600 children each week. Volunteers packed and delivered more than 20,000 food bags and distributed 57.7 tons of food in 2025 alone.

Attendees also learned about:

InSTEP (In Support of Teen Empowerment and Progress), which supports teens throughout Montgomery and North Harris counties through programs focused on mental health, empowerment, education, and access to basic necessities. In 2025, JLTW's Period Project distributed more than 100,000 menstrual hygiene products to 90 campuses.

IMPACT (Increase and Motivate Positive Awareness in Children and Teachers), which has provided free professional development opportunities, continuing education, and classroom grants for educators for nearly 18 years, helping address student needs and achievement gaps.

Healing Hearts, which has partnered with hospitals and healthcare organizations since 2009 to support families through blood drives, Healthy Kids Festivals, Teddy Bear Clinics, cancer survivorship initiatives, and other community health programs.

Through JLTW's programs and strategic collaborations, JLTW continues to invest in solutions that support children, families, educators, and healthcare organizations throughout the county and surrounding areas.
