Montgomery County Hospital District Becomes First EMS Provider in the Nation to Achieve Prestigious Collaborative Just Culture® Program Recognition
CONROE, TX -- Montgomery County Hospital District (MCHD) is proud to announce a remarkable achievement: the qualification of its Collaborative Just Culture® Program, recognized by global independent assurance and risk management provider, DNV, following a comprehensive audit. This achievement marks the first recognition of its kind in the nation for an EMS service provider.
"At MCHD, we provide exceptional EMS service throughout Montgomery County, Texas. This would not be possible to achieve without the highest standards for safety implemented in an environment where team members are both trusted and empowered to play a key role in this effort," said Randy Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of MCHD. "This recognition is a testament to our entire staff and their commitment to safety and reliability. It is another third-party confirmation that our patients access best-in-class providers with the highest quality standards found in EMS.”
The Collaborative Just Culture Program® DNV Qualification earned by MCHD serves as evidence of performance and proof of compliance with internationally recognized best-practice standards. It is third-party confirmation that MCHD takes an approach centered on patient safety and ensures patients receive the highest quality of care.
As part of this approach, MCHD developed streamlined back-office procedures powered by Laserfiche information management and process automation that enable team members to stay focused on patient outcomes.
“DNV is thrilled that MCHD is the first EMS group in the nation to achieve the Collaborative Just Culture Program (CJC) Qualification,” said Kelly Proctor, President of DNV Healthcare. “CJC qualification is the first program that validates a culture of safety and trust by balancing accountability between individuals and the organization through evidence-based policies, education, processes, tools, and measurements.”
