Hazmat Teams Respond to Early Morning Cement Truck Rollover on Grand Parkway
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Just after 5:00 AM this morning, The Woodlands Fire Department Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) team was requested to assist the South Montgomery County Fire Department in response to a cement truck rollover on the Grand Parkway near Riley Fuzzel Road.
The incident resulted in a significant fuel spill and completely blocked the eastbound lanes of the Grand Parkway. Upon arrival, Hazmat technicians worked swiftly to offload diesel fuel from the overturned vehicle and mitigate the concrete spill. Their efforts focused on preventing hazardous materials from entering the stormwater system and minimizing environmental impact.
The coordinated response helped ensure public safety and environmental protection while crews worked to clear the scene.
Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes as cleanup and recovery operations continue.
