Industrial Accident in FM 2978 Area Results in Fatality

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Earlier this afternoon, units from the Magnolia and The Woodlands Fire Departments responded to a serious industrial accident near FM 2978, just north of Woodlands Parkway.

Upon arrival, emergency crews encountered a hazardous scene involving a reported electrocution. Fire and EMS personnel immediately coordinated efforts with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCTXSheriff) to secure the area and provide emergency support.

Due to the dangerous conditions, recovery efforts were temporarily halted until power could be safely disconnected to ensure the safety of all personnel on scene.

Tragically, the incident resulted in a fatality.

At this time, the scene has been stabilized and further investigation is underway.
