Teen Drowns at Wendtwoods Park in Creekside Park Village; Investigation Underway

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 9:20 PM on Sunday evening, The Woodlands Fire Department and Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare were dispatched to Wendtwoods Park in the Village of Creekside Park following reports of a possible drowning in the park’s pond.

Upon arrival, first responders were informed that an individual had entered the water and had been missing for roughly 20 minutes. Firefighters began an immediate search of the area. Once the department’s rescue boat arrived on scene, crews utilized side-scanning sonar technology to assist in the search.

Tragically, the body of a 19-year-old male was located and recovered from the pond.

An investigation into the incident is currently being conducted by Harris County Constable Precinct 4, led by Constable Mark Herman.
