MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- As we approach the July 4th holiday, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office wants everyone to have a safe and memorable celebration. To ensure the safety of our community on the roads, you will see an increased presence of law enforcement throughout Montgomery County, with a focus on combating impaired driving.
Our deputies will be out in force, diligently looking for drivers who choose to get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol or other impairing substances. We are committed to making our roadways safe for everyone.

Tips to ensure you don't drive drunk this July 4th:
• Plan Ahead: If you plan to drink, make arrangements for a sober ride before you start celebrating.
• Designate a Sober Driver: Choose a trusted friend or family member who will remain sober and drive everyone home safely.
• Utilize Ride-Share Services or Taxis: Services like Uber or Lyft are readily available. Download the app and set up your account beforehand.
• Public Transportation: Explore local public transport options if available in your area.
• Stay the Night: If you're at a friend or family member's house, consider staying over instead of driving.
• Host Responsibly: If you're hosting a gathering, provide plenty of non-alcoholic beverage options and help your guests arrange safe rides home.
• Never Drive Impaired: Even one drink can impair your judgment. If you've been drinking, do not get behind the wheel.
• Never Ride with an Impaired Driver: It's just as dangerous to be a passenger with an impaired driver.

Let's make this Independence Day a celebration of freedom and safety. Drive sober, arrive alive, and help us keep Montgomery County roads safe for all.
