Commissioner Charlie Riley will seek re-election

MAGNOLIA, TX -- Commissioner Charlie Riley will seek re-election for another term as Montgomery County Precinct 2 Commissioner, continuing his dedicated service to the residents of the community he proudly calls home.
“It has been the honor of my lifetime to serve as your Precinct 2 Commissioner,” Riley said, “Together, we’ve accomplished so much to improve our roads, support law enforcement, and prepare Montgomery County for the future. There is still important work ahead, and I am excited to continue building on the progress we’ve made.”
During his time in office, Commissioner Riley has overseen the passage and completion of the 2015 Road Bond project across his precinct. Collectively, these projects have enhanced traffic flow, improved safety, and strengthened the county’s transportation network.
Riley has also prioritized public safety. Under his leadership, the county built a forensic center that provides critical support for law enforcement. He also led the effort to bring a sheriff’s substation to Precinct 2, working in collaboration with the Commissioners Court and county law enforcement officials to improve law enforcement presence and response times in the area.
In addition to infrastructure and safety improvements, Riley has supported preserving the county’s natural spaces. He helped secure the preservation of the Cook’s Branch Conservancy, a 6,000-acre nature preserve in Precinct 2. He also oversaw the acquisition of 399 acres of donated land set aside for a future park.
If re-elected, Riley plans to focus on completing several key initiatives, including the Woodtrace Boulevard extension, improvements to Hardin Store Road and Dobbin Hufsmith Road, and the development of the Magnolia Relief Route. These projects aim to further improve traffic flow and safety in the growing region.
“I am excited for what’s ahead and look forward to continuing to work together with our community to keep Montgomery County strong, safe, and prepared for the future,” Riley said.
