CONROE, TX -- On July 11, 2025, at approximately 8:04 p.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing at a residence in the 17700 block of Rio Bravo Boulevard in Conroe, Texas.

Upon arrival, medics with Montgomery County Hospital District located a 28-year-old female lying in the driveway with a stab wound to her neck. MCSO deputies arrived shortly thereafter and detained the suspect at the scene, who was identified as the victim’s husband, 35-year-old Jose Rafael Silva Figera of Venezuela.

Deputies learned that prior to law enforcement’s arrival, Figera had allegedly admitted to multiple witnesses that he was responsible for the victim’s injuries. He was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Figera’s immigration status is currently unknown and is being reviewed with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and are actively investigating the incident.

This appears to be an isolated incident involving family violence, and there is no known threat to the public at this time.
