THE WOODLANDS, TX – Two Tones Dueling Piano Bar in The Woodlands has partnered with Cy-Hope to present ‘Stand Up for Central Texas,’ a grassroots charity event to benefit flood victims in Central Texas and the Hill Country area that was devastated over the July 4 holidays.

The mission of the partnership is to bring hope and healing to the affected families and communities with two major Houston area comedy shows, featuring top Houston comedy talent. The first show will be at Two Tones on August 12, and the second one will take place at Cy-Hope Alamo on August 22. The two-performance event will be brought to the public by Two Tones Dueling Piano Bar, MIK on the Mic, and Micah Kramer

“We believe in using our God-given talents and platforms to serve, uplift, and restore,” said Two Tones in a statement. “We believe in the power of humor to break through the darkness of grief, to connect hearts, and to bring light in times of loss.”

Performances will be by Voice of the Black Sheep: Anesia Gordon, Ku Engeti, Harrison Loftin, Nathaniel Amador, and Srsly Melissa. The headline performance will be by Jesse Peyton.

Net proceeds from the shows will go directly to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and others most impacted by the floods. Organizers are looking for a few more sponsors to help send an excess of $100,000 out to Central Texas in August.

Woodforest National Bank is doing a donation match through September 30. Area businesses are encouraged to take advantage of this program and get involved with flood relief.
