Registration Opens for September Youth Basketball Leagues With Coach Deon in The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Registration is now open for the upcoming fall session of Coach Deon's youth basketball leagues, set to begin in early September at The Woodlands Methodist School FLC gym. The leagues have become a staple in the community for families seeking a structured, skill-focused basketball experience for boys and girls in grades K through 9.
The four-week program emphasizes both player development and team fundamentals, offering a mix of weekly practices and game play in a consistent and encouraging environment. With limited team sizes and hands-on coaching, participants receive individualized instruction tailored to their age and skill level.
Coach Deon, who has more than 25 years of experience in youth basketball, is well-regarded in The Woodlands for his emphasis on fundamentals, sportsmanship, and personal growth. His leagues are designed to help players build confidence while learning the game in a structured and supportive setting.
Fall 2025 League Schedule: Starts September 5th
Girls Young Ballers League (Ages 6 - 10): Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Boys Young Ballers League (Ages 6 - 10): Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Boys Elevate League (Grades 5–6): Saturdays, 4:30 p.m. – :30 p.m.
Girls Select League (Grades 5–8): Fridays, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Boys Inspire League (Grades 7–9): Saturdays, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
All sessions take place at the Family Life Center Gym at The Woodlands Methodist School. Each league runs for four weeks and is priced at $125 per player.
Coach Deon’s leagues have received strong support from local parents, with many citing his ability to connect with young athletes and deliver noticeable improvement in a short amount of time. Past participants have included beginners as well as more experienced players seeking to refine their skills during the offseason.
