Structure Fire Contained to Garage in Grogan’s Point Neighborhood

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 6:15 AM on Thursday morning, The Woodlands Fire Department (TWFD) was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Lacewing Place in the Grogan’s Point neighborhood.

Engine 103 arrived first on scene and observed smoke coming from the eaves of a large two-story home. Firefighters quickly located and extinguished a fire in the attached garage. Fortunately, the residents had safely evacuated the home prior to the fire department’s arrival.

Fire damage was contained to the garage, with only minor smoke damage reported in the rest of the home.

The Woodlands Fire Department was assisted by Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, Montgomery County Hospital District, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
