The Woodlands Firefighters Rescue Driver from Fiery Rollover Crash on Woodlands Parkway

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Just after 3:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, The Woodlands Fire Department Rescue 101 was returning from the Seasons Trace fire, which had already been brought under control. The unit was traveling along Woodlands Parkway at normal speed, without emergency lights or sirens activated.

As they approached the Kuykendahl Road intersection, a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed passed the fire engine. Moments later, firefighters came upon the same vehicle, which had rolled over and caught fire in the middle of Woodlands Parkway.

The crew immediately sprang into action, pulling the driver from the burning vehicle and quickly extinguishing the flames. Firefighters provided medical care to the driver until the arrival of Montgomery County Hospital District paramedics. The patient was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.
