Multiple Vehicle Collision and Fuel Spill Closes Feeder Road in Front of Costco

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Just after 3:00 PM this afternoon, emergency crews from The Woodlands Fire Department (TWFD), Montgomery County Hospital District (MCHD), and Needham Fire & Rescue / Montgomery County ESD#4 responded to a multiple vehicle collision on the northbound feeder road in front of Costco.

Engine 106 was the first unit to arrive on the scene and confirmed a three-vehicle collision, including an 18-wheeler that was leaking diesel fuel. Medics transported one individual to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Due to the fuel leak, The Woodlands Fire Department's Hazmat team was requested to the scene and is currently working to mitigate the diesel spill to ensure public and environmental safety.

All lanes of the northbound feeder road remain closed at this time as cleanup and investigation efforts continue. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the cause of the collision.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice.
