Top 10 Montgomery County Fugitive Joey Urzua Arrested by Sheriff’s Office SWAT and U.S. Marshals Task Force

SPLENDORA, TX --On October 8, 2025, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Operators, deputized as Task Force Officers with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, have arrested Montgomery County Top 10 Wanted Fugitive, Joey Urzua.
Urzua, 44, was located at a residence in the 21800 block of Partain Rd where he was hiding in a mattress. He was arrested for a felony warrant out of Montgomery County for Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information and a misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Identify as a Fugitive. He was taken into custody without incident.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office commends the professionalism and precision of its SWAT Operators for safely bringing these dangerous individuals into custody. This successful arrest also reflects a decade of strong partnership with the United States Marshals Service, working side by side to ensure fugitives are brought to justice and our communities remain safe.
