The Annual Golf Classic links business leaders together for The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The 2025 Golf Classic teed up recently for dozens of business and community leaders and groups to swing, putt, sink, network, and possibly make a deal or two on a perfect golfing day. The annual event took place at The Woodlands Country Club - North Course for a shotgun-style format that included 18 holes, lunch and a reception.
The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce event has enjoyed a long history in the Township’s business community, with dozens of local businesses being sponsors each year. Beyond the golfing and adjacent money-making side-plays that go along with it, there was a silent auction, heavy on the sports and entertainment theme.
No field was off limits when it came to who signed up to play, as evidenced by Memorial Hermann The Woodlands SVP & CEO Justin Kendrick and Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable sharing a pre-tee-off breakfast together. Chamber president and CEO Aaron Cox talked with Woodlands Online and stressed the importance of the mix of business and pleasure that only golf can provide.
“Today is important because it is one of those opportunities to do business in a fun and recreational way. It’s an opportunity for our members to connect with one another; not only the folks on their teams but also their colleagues that are coming out. We’re looking forward to a great day of camaraderie and maybe a little bit of business talk and some good old fashioned fun,” he said.
The funds raised by sponsors and auction items would go far to assist the Chamber’s vision, according to Cox.
“This will be an event that will help operations at the Chamber with the dollars raised, enabling us to continue our mission,” he said.
