MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — Business leader Bob Harvey has officially announced his candidacy for Montgomery County Precinct 2 Commissioner, pledging to bring integrity, accountability, and transparency to local government.
“For those who don’t know me, my name is Bob Harvey, and I am a businessman, not a politician,” Harvey said.
“Montgomery County stands at a crossroads. It’s time to end the status quo and move our community forward with honest, effective leadership.”
Harvey, a 17-year Texas resident and 14-year Montgomery County homeowner, brings more than 42 years of leadership experience in the oil and gas industry. He has held senior positions at Halliburton, Schlumberger, Weatherford, and Gates Corporation, where he managed multimillion-dollar budgets and complex operations worldwide.
“As your Commissioner, I will treat taxpayers as shareholders,” Harvey said. “Every dollar must count, every project must add value, and every decision must be transparent.”
Harvey’s campaign focuses on restoring trust in county government through fiscal discipline, transparency, and community engagement. His vision for Precinct 2 includes smart growth, responsible infrastructure investment, and open communication between residents and leadership.
