Vehicle Collision with Entrapment at Research Forest and Cochrans Crossing

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Just before 7:00 a.m. this morning, The Woodlands Fire Department, Needham Fire & Rescue/Montgomery County ESD #4, and Montgomery County Hospital District responded to a reported collision at the intersection of Research Forest Drive and Cochrans Crossing.

As emergency units were en route, the call was upgraded to an entrapment. Battalion 102 arrived first on scene and confirmed a two-vehicle collision with one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters quickly deployed rescue tools to remove the passenger door and safely extricate the patient.

The entrapped individual was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. Two additional people involved in the collision were also treated on scene and transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
