THE WOODLANDS, TX – We’re exactly one week out from Christmas morning, and while the warmer weather might not exactly scream Yuletide and Winter Solstice, the holiday spirit is still in the air.

Woodlands Online has decided to put together for you and the family a slate of things to do, places to go, and people to see between now and next Thursday, events designed to keep you in the winter mood.

Thursday (today) – Christmas Carol-Oake at Sawyer Park Icehouse

Sawyer Park is bringing all the holiday cheer to their stage with a special Christmas karaoke night starting at 8 o’clock. Grab your friends, warm up those vocal cords, and sing your favorite holiday hits under the lights! From Mariah to Bing Crosby… if it’s festive, it’s fair game. This is a free event open to all ages… and holiday outfits are encouraged! We suggest you reserve your table now before they’re all gone.

Friday – Winter Fest at Magnolia Bible Church

On the westernmost outskirts of The Woodlands, on Nicholls Sawmill Road, you can enjoy an unforgettable winter celebration that has free admission and is fun for all. Winter Fest 2025 at Magnolia Bible Church presents a night of magic featuring a real snow slide and snowball rink, carnival rides and games, tasty food trucks, festive music and holiday cheer, and the chance to meet Santa and take photos.

Saturday – Festival of Lights at Woodlands Church

This is the ultimate Christmas Light Walkthrough Experience of the year. Join countless other families for a heartwarming and illuminating Christmas celebration as you experience the joy and wonder of the season through radiant displays of lights. Besides the glorious 90-minute walkthrough, they have added an exciting new Winter Wonderland snow area, bringing lots of fun for everyone. Every sparkle tells the story of hope, joy, and the love of Jesus; it is truly an event you don't want to miss!

Sunday – Sing with the Symphony at The Woodlands First Baptist Church

The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra invites the community to a joyful evening of beloved holiday music and spirited sing-alongs with Cozy Carols and More Messiah. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the concert begins at 6:00 p.m. Come join this magnificent orchestra for a festive evening and get into the holiday spirit by singing along with the symphony as they perform cozy carols and selections from Handel’s Messiah. This in-person event is the perfect way to celebrate the season with friends and family. Don't miss out on this special opportunity to make beautiful music together!

Monday – Christmas Jamboree at the Kevin Brady Library

The site of The Woodlands’ newest library is a veritable Santa’s Workshop complete with an Elf Training Academy, Reindeer Games, and a visit with the jolly old elf himself on the agenda for this fun-filled, come-and-go event for kids and families. Free to attend and fun for all.

Tuesday – ‘Winter in The Woodlands’ Exhibit at The Woodlands Arts Council

Winter in The Woodlands is a photography exhibition that captures the unexpected and surprising beauty of winter in our community. Featuring selected works from local photographers, the show highlights moments of beauty, wonder, and magic inspired by the few winters that have brought snow to The Woodlands. From quiet pathways to beloved local landmarks, these images celebrate the season’s unique character and its lasting impression on residents and visitors alike.

Wednesday – Skating at The Ice Rink

Glide into the magic of the holiday season at The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center. Enjoy indoor ice skating at the 21,000 square-foot facility, located at the intersection of Six Pines and Lake Robbins, next to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. All Christmas Eve, the Ice Rink will offer two-hour skating sessions and private party reservations; other days it will also offer rink rentals and ice skating lessons. Reserve your slot now!
