THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Montgomery County Animal Shelter recently was the beneficiary of an inaugural holiday-themed event that raised $450 for the shelter. The ‘Paws and Claus’ fundraiser from Woofie's of The Woodlands took place at The Lake House at Grand Central Park in Conroe.

In addition to pet-and-human photos with Santa, attendees enjoyed local vendors, free hot cocoa, letters to the jolly old elf, and food and coffee trucks. The furry, four-legged attendees took part in nail trims, wash-and-go baths, and coat brushing. Woofie's, which provides pet sitting, dog walking and mobile pet spa services, was thrilled to host the event and hopes to continue the tradition next year.

Woodlands Online wants to remind people that pets are a significant responsibility for the entire family, and to be sure you’re ready for it should you decide to adopt a furry family member from the MCAS or other shelters.
