Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Repeat Offender in Alden Bridge Holiday Package Theft Investigation

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) has successfully apprehended a suspect in connection with a string of holiday package thefts in The Woodlands area.

Following several complaints regarding stolen Christmas packages in the Alden Bridge neighborhood, CRU units reviewed Ring camera footage and identified a consistent suspect. During the investigation, units discovered the suspect was already in custody at the Montgomery County Jail on a separate felony charge.

During the course of their investigation, CRU units identified the suspect as 45-year-old Braidon Wals, who subsequently confessed to multiple package thefts in the area. Wals, who has an extensive criminal history involving theft and fraud across several states, led investigators to his residence in Alden Bridge where numerous items of stolen property were recovered.
