Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center celebrates its 8th annual High Tea
THE WOODLANDS, TX – A special life- and heart-affirming celebration took place over the weekend when Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center held its 8th annual High Tea event. Attendees dressed to the nines and sipped tea with pinkies extended in grand high tea tradition.
The event was filled with great company and heartfelt stories. Among those celebrating were Gloria and Howard Persky, who first met in a nutrition class and later chose Canopy as the place to begin their next chapter together.
Music as Rx, a Woodlands-based traveling music group – founded by one lone student playing piano for seniors and now a full mini-orchestra – provided music for the guests. Linda Nelson, director of Memorial Hermann - The Woodlands, and Marcella Herrera, program manager for Canopy, welcomed all to the special festivities.
A special surprise ended the gathering as one lucky person from each table took home the extravagant floral centerpiece courtesy of Piney Rose Flowers & Decor.
