MCSO Arrests Aggravated Robbery Suspect in Conroe, TX

CONROE, TX -- On February 17, 2026, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division were dispatched to a gas station located at 17100 Highway 105 East in Conroe, in reference to an aggravated robbery.

Upon arrival, deputies met with the victim, who reported that she had arranged to meet a man at the location to sell jewelry she had advertised on Facebook Marketplace. During the transaction, the suspect displayed a firearm and fled the scene in a vehicle taking the jewelry by force.

Multiple Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, assisted by the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office and the Cut-N-Shoot Police Department, responded and began searching for the suspect vehicle. Deputies later located the registered vehicle at an address associated with the suspect. Contact was made and the suspect surrendered without incident.

Major Crimes Detectives responded and identified the suspect as Juan Carlos Valladarez, who was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to use caution when conducting online marketplace transactions. Safe Exchange Zones are available at designated law enforcement facilities throughout the county including in the parking lot of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office located at #1 Criminal Justice Drive in Conroe.
