Daikin’s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship opens to students in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Daikin Comfort Technologies North America and the Astros Foundation have announced that they have opened applications for Daikin’s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship, a $100,000 scholarship program supporting area students, including those in The Woodlands, who plan to pursue higher education in STEAM fields.

The program will award ten $10,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors across Greater Houston who plan to pursue studies in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM).

“We believe STEAM drives real world breakthroughs. It is where problem solvers, makers, and big thinkers turn ideas into impact,” said Daikin representatives.

In 2025, the program awarded $10,000 each to ten exceptional students, underscoring Daikin’s commitment to the next generation of innovators. Students in The Woodlands area are eligible to apply. Applicants must be graduating seniors in the Class of 2026, plan to attend a higher education institution after graduation and submit a 300-word essay on the importance of STEAM education along with two letters of recommendation.

If selected as a semifinalist, a personal interview may be conducted with the Daikin’s Most Valuable STEAM Scholarship program committee. Winners will be notified via email and announced at a Houston Astros game. They will be invited to a pre-game reception, where they will be presented with a scholarship certificate.
