Lone Star College-Montgomery Music Department to host Celebrating Student Excellence Week
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Lone Star College-Montgomery invites the community to join them for a celebration of music as they host a series of concerts featuring student performances. These special presentations highlight the goal of Celebrating Student Excellence and underscore the achievements of the LSC-Montgomery Music Dept. students
“We are very excited to be offering these concerts,” said Michael Walsh, Ed.D., Creative Arts and Education dean. “Our students have worked extremely hard this semester and are looking forward to showcasing their talents in these very special performances.”
Highlights include the Spring 2026 Composition Showcase, featuring exclusively student-created music for percussion, performed by Grammy-nominated percussionist Daniel Vila and the LSC-Montgomery Choirs joined by The Woodlands Chorale to perform Mozart's Mass in C minor with orchestra.

- Jazz Ensemble. April 28, 7:30 p.m.
- Symphonic Band. April 30, 7 p.m.
- LSC-Montgomery Choirs and The Woodlands Chorale. May 2, 7 p.m. Christ Church Methodist
- Chamber Music Concert. May 6, 7 p.m.
- Creekside Civic Orchestra Concert. May 7, 7 p.m.
All performances take place in the Recital Music Hall (Room H-102) with the exception of The LSC-Montgomery Choirs and Woodlands Chorale performance which takes place at Christ Church Methodist. Visit the LSC-Montgomery Events Calendar for tickets and more information.
