MCSO Investigates Deceased Male on 59 US Highway 59

SPLENDORA, TX -- On May 7, 2026, at approximately 7:20 a.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a possible deceased individual located in a ditch near the 15700 block of US Highway 59.

Officers with the Splendora Police Department arrived on the scene and discovered the body of 38-year-old Gary Dynell Belvin of Houston, TX. Initial observations appeared that Belvin sustained injuries consistent with being struck by a motor vehicle.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators were requested to conduct the death investigation. Belvin’s remains have been transported to the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office for a formal autopsy.
