Kings Harbor Waterfront Village to Host “Fireworks on the Pier” Celebration Honoring America’s 250th Birthday

KINGWOOD, TX -- Kings Harbor Waterfront Village invites families from across the Lake Houston area to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an expanded, family-friendly evening event on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Designed as a stress-free summer outing for both children and parents, Fireworks on the Pier will feature waterfront entertainment, kid-friendly activities, dining options, and a grand fireworks finale over Lake Houston.

Children can enjoy a variety of free attractions and activities throughout the evening, including snow cones, face painting, balloon art, live appearances by Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam, a DJ, Jumbo Connect 4, a bubble machine, a vintage fire truck display, and an Instagram photo-op area.

While kids explore the festivities, parents are encouraged to enjoy dinner from Kings Harbor’s waterfront restaurants, relax along the pier, and take in the scenic views for a laid-back summer evening.

The celebration will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the sky over Lake Houston, providing a memorable end to the holiday weekend and a fitting tribute to the nation’s milestone birthday.
