**Update** Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Conducts Investigation into Fatal Shooting
CONROE, TX -- On July 9, 2026, at approximately 5:13 a.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received two 911 calls reporting callers finding a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
On July 10, 2026, detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, in consultation with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, charged Messiah Archuleta, 17, with Murder.
The charge stems from an extensive follow-up investigation into the shooting death of 16-year-old Alexander Guevara, which occurred on July 9, 2026, in the 16800 block of Northern Flicker Trail in Conroe, Texas.
This investigation remains active and ongoing. Currently, authorities have confirmed there is no current threat to the public. No additional information is available.
