Willis High School Student Charged Following Threat in the Classroom

WILLIS, TX -- A 15-year-old Willis ISD student has been charged with Terroristic Threat after making statements about “shooting other students in the classroom.” The incident occurred today, Thursday, August 27, 2026.

Upon notification, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned as School Resource Officers at Willis High School immediately responded and took the student into custody. The student is currently being held at the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.

This incident underscores a critical message: Any threat; verbal, written, online, or disguised as a joke; will be taken seriously and may result in criminal charges. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will not hesitate to act swiftly to protect students, teachers, and staff.
