Art Exhibition Opening: 67th Annual Faculty Exhibition

HUNTSVILLE, TX -- The SHSU Department of Art is pleased to present the 67th Annual Faculty Exhibition, an exhibition featuring the work of the fabulous Art Faculty at Sam Houston, on view from September 14, 2026, through October 3, 2026, at University Gallery in the Dana G. Hoyt Fine Arts Building. Now in its 67th year, the Annual Faculty Art Exhibition highlights the creative research and professional artistic practices of the Department of Art faculty. Representing a wide range of disciplines, media, and conceptual approaches, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to experience the diverse perspectives and ongoing work of the artists who teach and mentor students at Sam Houston State University.

These incredible creatives teach, mentor, and inspire the next generation of artists, teachers, and designers. Their work has been exhibited regionally, nationally, and internationally, reflecting a wide range of artistic interests and professional experiences that enrich both the university and the broader arts community.

Opening Day: September 14th, 10am
Panel Discussion: September 17, 5:00-6:00pm
Opening Reception: September 17, 6-7pm
Admission is free, and all events are open to the public.
