Driver Arrested After Allegedly Striking Pedestrian in Hit-and-Run in Montgomery County

CONROE, TX -- On Sunday afternoon, September 13, officers responded to a reported hit-and-run where a male had been struck by a vehicle.

According to witnesses, the victim was crossing the 300 block of Booker T. Washington when the driver of a Lincoln passenger car appeared to accelerate toward the victim, striking him before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries.

During the investigation, dispatchers alerted officers that the suspect vehicle had just passed a nearby Flock camera. Officers quickly converged on the area, located the vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Dante Moore, 46.

Following the investigation, Moore was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a Second-Degree Felony.

Thanks to the quick actions of our investigating officers, the assistance of our dispatchers, and the effective use of technology, the suspect was quickly located and taken into custody.
