Trademark Symbols | The Strong Firm P.C.

Linkedin

There are a few symbols that people use for trademarks.  If your mark is registered then it is appropriate to use the R in the circle which indicates a trademark registration. If your mark is unregistered, then it’s appropriate to use the “TM” symbol.

The circled R can only be used once you have a federal registration. This means you’ve applied for it and received a trademark registration from the US government. You can’t use the “R” symbol until you have received your Certificate of Registration.

To discuss your legal issues and to determine how we can best represent you, contact The Strong Firm today by calling 281-367-1222.
