What is a Mineral Estate | The Strong Firm P.C.

Linkedin

In Texas, a mineral estate and a surface estate are two separate legal interests which may be severed.  This means that one person may own the surface estate and another own the mineral estate underlying the land.
The mineral estate is any minerals contained within that land, below the surface. The surface estate is the visible land at the surface.
