George P. Mitchell Intermediate School

Vision: Our school will come to be viewed by students, teachers, staff and parents as a true "learning community." A culture of sharing, thematic instruction, and connection to real-world events will be woven throughout all aspects of school activities. The use of technology in instruction will become as confortable and common in all areas of learning as other teaching tools have in the past. A two-year interconnected 5/6 curriculum implemented through a "looping" concept will help students bond with their teachers to maximize their academic achievement.
