Description

Both the teacup and saucer are in excellent, unused condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no scratches. They have been in a box in storage for many years.  Packaged in a decorative storage box featuring a "Paris" theme with butterfly and floral motifs.

Beautiful Vanderbilt Service porcelain teacup and saucer, by Button + Burton, is patterned after an 1888 Sevres tea set on display in the Oak Sitting Room of Biltmore House in Asheville , North Carolina , the palatial mansion built in 1888 by George W. Vanderbilt and one of the country’s largest private houses.

This tea cup and saucer set has handpainted cobalt blue and gold borders with amazing wildflowers around both pieces, on a white background.
The teacup measures 3 3/4" diameter x 2" tall to top of rim and 2 5/8" to top of handle. The saucer measures 6" diameter.
