Italian majolica / faience / earthenware decorative pottery ceramic dishes
Description
Good Condition
Decorative ceramic dishes or plates molded in the shape of stylized flowers (petals, leaf‐elements) and hand-painted in bright glazes.
- The backs of some of them are marked “P.434 / Italy” (or similar).
- The style and glazing suggest they may be Italian majolica / faience / earthenware decorative pottery (i.e. tin-glazed or color glazes).
- They are likely mid-20th century (or possibly earlier) decorative tableware or wall/dresser plates rather than everyday utilitarian ware.
- They may have been intended as accent or decorative “flower plates” rather than part of a standard dinnerware set.
