Qualifications
• Lives within Montgomery County, Texas or surrounding areas and possesses ability to travel within Montgomery County, as needed

• Proactive problem-solving techniques

• Experience in Recruitment of Volunteers, Donors, and/or Partners
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new systems and technologies.
• Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word or PowerPoint
• Experience with Microsoft Excel in data management and report generation
• Access to reliable transportation on an occasional basis to attend events, meet with volunteers, and recipient or donor organizations
• Ability to work from home with access to reliable internet connection and telephone service with limited day-to-day supervision
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and does not require Visa Sponsorship
Responsibilities
• Under guidance of the Board of Directors, or their designee, responsible for managing the daily operations of the organization
• Responsible for the daily activities of the Volunteers, Donors and Recipient organizations
• Onboard new Employees and Volunteers in the use of GivePulse, and other tools in support of operational processes
• In partnership with other staff
o coordinate and ensure the coverage and validation of daily Event schedules for 100+ Volunteers, 30+ Food Donor, and 40+ Recipient organizations, prioritizing those that are both urgent and important
o monitor Event registrations and ensure gaps in coverage are resolved via email, text, or telephone calls
o respond calmly and creatively to unexpected situations
o organize and plan large scale food donations when opportunities arise
o create and deliver presentations to organizations (such as Volunteer Recruitment, food drives, or other community outreach); work with team to identify new sources of recipient and volunteer participation
o ensure the operational needs of the organization are anticipated and met
o coordinate and prioritize work
o create and implement of social media and public relations plan
o ensure back up for all operational activities, prioritizing those that are both urgent and important
• Proactively communicate the needs of the organization
• Proactively identify potential issues or opportunities and propose resolutions
• Manage communications (ex. Incoming emails and telephone calls) within established guidelines
• Regularly monitor programs for efficiency and effectiveness, coordinating with Volunteers, Recipients, and other partnership organizations
• Represent KUSF program in community outreach to potential Volunteer sources and/or Recipient organizations
• Support fundraising efforts representing KUSF in community outreach or other participation in fundraising efforts
• Primary contact for the Montgomery County Food Bank relative to daily operational activities
• Additional related duties, as assigned
Work Schedule
This full-time role (up to 40 hours per week) has a flexible work schedule with core hours of Monday – Friday, 8am to 11am to ensure Volunteer Events are covered and supported. This role is expected to handle s frequent? rotating evening and weekend work to maintain full coverage of Events in upcoming days and/or to handle time sensitive items.
The position is eligible for 84 hours of paid time off annually, accrued monthly, and accessible after 6 months.
Work Location
This is a remote position conducting business primarily via a computer and telephone in the employee’s home office. During initial on-boarding and training, or for on-going training of Volunteers, Donors, or Recipient organizations, additional local travel is required. Onsite visits to Donors or Recipients with Volunteers will occasionally be required. Physical demands are primarily within home office or standard office conditions. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
Compensation
The hourly rate is between $22.50 - $25 per hour, based upon relevant experience.
This position is eligible for health and welfare benefits, 401(k) savings plan enrollment, and business travel mileage reimbursement.
