Summary of Duties: Cleans, adjust chemicals, and performs minor repairs to swimming pools, spray grounds, fountains, auxiliary equipment, and facility by performing the following duties.
Essential Employee Responsibilities: During emergency conditions, subject to being called to work in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane, or other emergency situation and are expected to perform emergency service duties, as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise Lifeguards on chemical and maintenance issues and troubleshoot solutions.
Maintain signage and company vehicles.
Regularly inspect pools, fountains and spray pads for proper water clarity and chemistry. Add appropriate chemicals as needed or required.
Record, maintain and file results of daily, weekly water tests for each pool, fountain, and spray grounds as well as the duties performed at each facility.
Ensure pools, fountains and spray grounds comply with State of Texas, Montgomery County Health Department and Harris County Health Department pool standards.
Maintain adequate inventory and ensure proper storage of pool supplies, chemicals, and equipment. Ensure equipment is maintained in clean, safe, and good working order.
Perform preventative maintenance for all aspects of the aquatic facilities, including inspect pools cracks and wear; inspect pumps automatic controllers, diving boards and safety equipment. Repair or replace as required.
Maintain pool, fountains, and spray grounds year-round e.g., remove leaves and other debris from surface of water, clean and repairs filter system, cleans bottom and sides of pools.
Daily report conditions of pool to Foreman and Aquatic Supervisor and Superintendent; maintain equipment and vehicle from damage and abuse; follow all safety procedures.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Work on projects as assigned by supervisor.
Participate in emergency response teams.
Must be able to manage time to get all assignments done in allotted time.
May be required to work special events on nights, weekends, or holidays.
Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is exposed to chemicals and must use provided PPE’s. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
Disagreeable: Frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and or hazards. Majority of work performed outside or with exposure to risk and frequent physical effort is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Safety-Sensitive: This position is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing.

Knowledge of: Swimming pool chemicals.
Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience: One (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
Maintain current Pool and Spa Operation certification (CPO or AFO) or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire.
Must possess a Texas driver’s license and meet the driver safety policy requirements. CDL preferred.
Physical Demands: Working outside in all types of weather conditions.
Pre-employment Requirements: Pass pre-employment drug screening, pass background check, and eligible status on Motor Vehicle Report.
