    RETAIL SHIPPING CLERK
    ------------------------------------------
    We are a locally owned and operated retail shipping store that offers many services including FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL -- as well as providing services such as faxing, scanning, large format printing, mailbox rental, notary services and much more.

    **This is a full time position offering 25-40 hours per week**

    The Shipping Store is searching for individuals that strive to provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will learn all aspects on how The Shipping Store operates, be detail oriented, have strong computer and communication skills, be a fast learner, multitasker, and have a professional appearance. Retail experience is preferred, and being bilingual is a plus.

    Responsibilities include:
    Maintaining a clean and orderly workstation.
    Providing consultative skills to find the best service options for the customer.
    Assembling packages and preparing goods for shipping.
    Having a friendly attitude and providing excellent customer service skills to customers.
    Know how to operate office equipment (scanning, faxing, etc) and be proficient with computers (typing fast, great spelling skills).
    Operating a POS system to handle cash/credit card transactions.
    Be knowledgeable in the different services we offer and be prepared to provide the customer with information about these services.
    Stocking and maintaining inventory and keeping a clean and organized store.
    Standing and lifting heavy boxes for long periods of time.
    Packing fragile items and ensuring their safe transport.
    Ability to lift 40+ pounds.

    Qualifications:
    High School diploma or GED preferred
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Knowledge of computers and basic programs like Microsoft Word.
    Reliable and responsible
    Detail oriented
