Art Teacher Part-Time
Plan and deliver age-appropriate visual arts lessons aligned with educational standards and school curriculum.
Introduce students to a variety of art techniques, materials, and styles including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
Foster a classroom culture that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and respect for diverse artistic perspectives.
Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring art classroom environment.
Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as needed.
Organize and display student artwork within the school and during special events or exhibitions.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to integrate art into cross-curricular projects.
Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and occasional school events as required.
Prior teaching experience with elementary and/or middle school students strongly preferred.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate art instruction.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Enthusiasm for the arts and a commitment to fostering artistic growth in young learners.
About $30 per hour
