Job Description

The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment. This role is responsible for managing front office operations, ensuring accurate patient registration, and supporting overall clinic workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet all patients with professionalism, compassion, and care upon arrival
Check-in and register patients for scheduled appointments
Verify and update patient demographics, and obtain all required consents and documentation
Collect patient payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances, in accordance with office policies
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently
Manage incoming calls and handle the appointment line in a timely and courteous manner
Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient needs, concerns, and flow
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, provider, and staff information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support clinic operations by assisting with administrative tasks as needed
Cross-train in other departments to ensure coverage and continuity of care
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous medical front office experience preferred
Experience with Athena Practice and AthenaOne EMR strongly preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (up to 100 patients per day)
Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficient in basic computer systems and office software
Work Environment:
Fast-paced medical office setting with high patient volume
Requires the ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy under pressure

Compensation:

$19.00-$21.00hr
