Job Description

Objectives of this role

Provide inspired leadership for the organization.

Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.

Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures and increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity

Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.

Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.

Maintain constant communication with owner, customers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols such as FIFO, and maintains highest standard of cleanliness and food safety at all times.

Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget and ensure daily/weekly production quotas are met according to plan.

Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed

Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.

Oversees all purchase requirements for uninterrupted operations and ensures accurate ordering and rotation of all inventory.

Hold daily/weekly meeting to ensure proper communication of company’s directive.

Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.

Upholds Ownership mentality and is “Commander in Chief” representing Zo-Zo Fresh interests to all other parties.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support a team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution

Manage daily operations to achieve productivity targets, reduce food cost and labor cost, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service to customers on the phone and in person.

Work closely with owner and sales team to ensure that activities remain compliant and up to date

Oversee materials and inventory

Conduct operational audit reviews, build SMART action plans for operations and report action plans to owner and involved parties.

Train, develop and manage operation team.

Asses HR talent requirements, communicate HR needs and assist in team building activities.

Required skills and qualifications

Strong skills in budget development and oversight

Proven success in an operations management role as a team leader and developer

Maintaining at all times professional, interpersonal relations with staff, coworkers, customers and vendors

Lead-By-Example especially in professional appearance, Can-Do-Attitude and respectful communication

Hands-On-Approach to all tasks in operations

Effective creative problem solving with solution-based outcome optimization.

Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service

Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes

Ability to lift 50 lb without assistance

Ability to work standing for a period of 8 hours

Food Safety Manger certification

Availability to work weekends and holidays if necessary

Ability to work with a team-based environment

Strong planning and organizational skills

Detailed understanding of nutrition and health and wellness

Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Skills Required

The Operations Manager oversees daily activities and ensures high quality standards and all safety procedures are met. He/She/They will have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple tasks for maximum productivity. This person will be highly knowledgeable in nutrition, health and wellness, human resources, food safety, and sales, and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operations team.

Compensation:

$15/hr+ DOE
