Job Description

Position Summary
The Curriculum Coordinator will help promote a positive child-centered learning environment by leading curriculum implementation and maintaining consistency, supporting and fostering teachers’ growth and professional development through ongoing coaching and trainings, ensure compliance with licensing standards and industry practices, and collaborating with management to ensure high-quality educational programming by promoting continuous improvement throughout the school.
The Curriculum Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining continuous improvement of the school’s curriculum for School Day, Full Day, Partial Day, Transition, School-Agers, and Summer programs.

Essential Responsibilities
• Lead the overall development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ICDC’s school curriculum for children age 18 months and older.
• Partner with teachers to design engaging, age-appropriate curriculum, weekly lesson plans, and daily activities that comply with Texas Minimum Standards, accreditation requirements, and aligns with ICDC standards and policies.
• Provide ongoing training and coaching for teachers on lesson planning, curriculum implementation, classroom management strategies, and behavior guidance.
• Offer in-class modeling, co-teaching, and hands-on guidance to help manage differing behaviors in the classroom.
• Monitor children's developmental progress through classroom observations, portfolios, and assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized curriculum modifications that align with each student's developmental milestones, abilities, and learning goals
• Coordinate, review, and evaluate lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities to ensure alignment with ICDC's philosophy and developmental standards.
• Research and recommend instructional strategies, educational resources, and curriculum enhancements.
• Support teachers during parent conferences by providing curriculum and child development guidance.
• Conduct classroom observations to provide feedback and coaching.
• Lead curriculum discussions and educational training during staff meetings.
• Prepare, order and maintain an inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies needed for curriculum implementation.
• Assist school directors in daily operations and overall program management.
• Oversee new hire training and assign shadowing with mentor teachers.
• Plan and facilitate professional development, including Heart & Soul, orientation, CPR/First Aid, and other required trainings.
Assist with planning school-wide events, summer camp, performances, graduations, Health Week, Rodeo Week, and other educational activities.
• Support educational technology integration, lead trainings, and assist teachers with the utilization of Procare.
• Maintain all required professional development hours and certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule
Fulltime, Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm with 1-hr lunch break
This position is year-round; including summers

Skills Required

Qualifications
Required
• Two (2) years of early childhood education experience
• Two (2) years of curriculum development and/or lesson planning experience
• Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire

Preferred
• Experience with Procare or similar software
• Experience with Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and behavior management.

Compensation:

$22.00/hr
