Job Description

Title: Bilingual Program Coordinator
Location: Interfaith Central Office
Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person *this role cannot be performed remotely*

Position Description:
Function as Intake Specialist; interview, evaluate, and document needs of families and individuals applying for assistance through Interfaith Crisis Assistance Programs.

Responsibilities:
• Screen clients for needs and eligibility
• Schedule appointments and make appropriate social services referrals
• Interview and evaluate clients and determine qualified assistance available
• Process checks and invoices and document assistance given
• Data entry into Client Track database
• Maintain filing procedures of client files
• Oversee the Kits 4 Kids school supplies program
• Assist in Interfaith disaster recovery efforts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Required):
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This employer participates in E-Verify.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check, employment verification, drug screening and Motor Vehicle Record check.

Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Two (2) years of social services/nonprofit experience
• Experience working with and leading a diverse group of people to achieve a common goal
• Reside within 15 miles of 77381 zip code due to mandatory disaster relief

The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Travel Requirements
Occasional local travel. Must have a valid Class C Texas Driver’s License and comply with Interfaith’s Safe Driving Policy and Company Driving policy.

Additional Requirements
Ability to accommodate occasional weekends or evenings throughout the year.
