A relaxed, non-denominational discussion series for women of all ages

Pull on your favorite pair of jeans; grab some girlfriends and head over to the Loft Worship Center in the Woodlands Tues., Jan 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for “Babes, Blue Jeans and the Bible,” a lively, yet friendly non-denominational discussion series of the bestselling book in the history of womankind, the Holy Bible.

The four-part monthly series designed for women of all ages will be presented by the Come to the Waters Christian teaching team - Beverley Armstrong, Judy McKnight, Bobbie Russell and Trish Woodruff, all of from The Woodlands area.

The Tues., Jan 15 session, “Are Your Roots Showing?” will help participants explore their spiritual roots. “As we part our hair in the morning, our roots appear – whether they’re dark, light, gray or natural – every strand of hair has its own origin,” explains Russell, who will present the first session. “We’ll explore the questions ‘are you rooted in the bible, and can the Bible really give us a guide to live an authentic life?”

Other series topics are:

Feb. 12 – Is it Power of Puff?
March 11 – Can You Hear Me Now?
April 8 – Are You an Enlightened Babe?

Come to the Waters spokesperson Carol Ward says that the “Babes, Blue Jeans & the Bible” series provides a great way for women to learn more about the Bible both from the presenters and others during the roundtable discussions. There’s no homework and the Loft’s coffee shop will be open. Child care will be available for children up to age 12 simply by making a reservation a week before the event. Call Deb Alexander at 281-297-5928 to make a reservation or for more information.

The Come to the Waters team will offer the “Babes, Blue Jeans and the Bible” series to other Christian denomination churches and women’s groups around the Houston area and beyond. “Peace that Surpasses,” “Stepping Stones of Faith,” and customized topics by the Come to the Waters team also are available to women’s groups everywhere.
