Christians to Observe Good Friday and Easter Sunday
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Friday, March 21, is Good Friday, a holy day observed by the Christian religion to commemorate Jesus' sacrifice and crucifixion.
Special prayer services are often held on this day with readings giving accounts of the events leading up to the crucifixion. Three days after Good Friday, Christ rose from his grave on what we know of as Easter Sunday.
Many local churches will be holding Good Friday and Easter services with activities for all ages throughout the weekend. For more information, please visit WOL's Calendar.
