Seniors recently gathered to flex their muscles both mentally and physically at the seventh annual Interfaith of The Woodlands Senior Community Games.

Held on October 25 at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, the games were co-developed with Silverado Senior Living to include challenging but attainable goals for each activity such as a basketball toss, bean bag toss, bowling, golf hole-in-one, music trivia, soccer, a spelling bee and a softball toss. Also, the ever-popular senior talent show was featured at the conclusion of the activities, followed by a celebration dance.

All participants received breakfast provided by Sweet Tomatoes, a complimentary Subway box lunch and a T-shirt. And, each senior received a ribbon and had the opportunity to participate and win Bronze, Silver or Gold medals.

“We are delighted to have hosted another fun and exciting Senior Community Games,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, Executive Director of Interfaith. “Each year, this event gives each participant a wonderful opportunity to interact with other seniors and strengthen their minds and spirits, and we are already making plans for next year.”
