MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- In a solemn act of respect and unity, the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (MCOHSEM), along with all five Montgomery County Constable Precincts, traveled to Kerrville early this morning to escort the body of one of our own residents, Reese Manchaca, back home. Reese tragically lost her life during the devastating floods that struck Kerr County this week.

This coordinated escort was made possible through the collaborative efforts of all Constables' Offices across the county, who worked alongside MCOHSEM to plan and provide a dignified and honorable return for Reese. We extend our deepest appreciation to each deputy who participated and to the leadership in every precinct who ensured this effort was carried out with the utmost care and compassion.

We ask the public to keep Reese’s family, friends, and all those impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy in their thoughts and prayers. We also urge continued support for the brave first responders and emergency management personnel still on the ground in Kerr County, working tirelessly to locate and assist those who remain missing.
